Learn to use the Rat Genome Database (RGD), a collection of data, tools and resources on the model organism Rattus norvegicus. The rat is a well-characterized model for research on mammalian physiology and human disease. The addition of a characterized rat genome to the mouse and human sequence provides a rich resource for comparative genomics analysis. Any researcher using rat as the model organism for their research would benefit greatly from learning how to use the resources and tools available at the Rat Genome Database.
